Sonic Adventure Time 8/2/12
Someone had to do it.
Someone had to do it.
Here’s a stupid bear that I drew.
This is my cover design for a new Potholes In My Blog beat compilation, Cosmic Island. It’s an island in space, obviously. You can download the compilation for free here and read more about it on Potholes. Cosmic Island by Various Artists
I’m happy to announce that I recently completed work on When The Beat Was Born, a children’s book written by Laban Hill which tells the story of DJ Kool Herc and his part in birthing hip-hop culture. I’ve been working on this book for quite a while and it feels great to see a finished product. I’ll discuss it more…
Here is an album cover I designed for Choongum’s first EP, Fantasy, on the recently-launched Potholes Music. Most of the inspiration for this piece came from the strange, alien landscapes that appear in René Laloux’s Fantastic Planet, one of my favorite animated films. You can read more about Choongum and Fantasy at Potholes In My Blog. And if you have…
Here is the ridiculous Rayforce/Sega Saturn-inspired artwork that I created for Potholes’ latest beat compilation. Rayforce (aka Gunlock aka Layer Section aka Galactic Attack) has been one of my favorite schmups for years so I felt this was the appropriate time to show my appreciation. You can download the compilation here.
Last week I decided to purchase myself a Nikon D7000 to replace my D100 which has really been showing its age. To test it out, I took a trip down to Richmond to shoot some of the art left by the Richmond Street Art Festival. There were plenty of amazing graffiti murals all over the city. You can see a…

I made the decision to consolidate all of my music from 2006 to 2009 into one album. You can download it on Bandcamp for free and listen below.
So I joined Instagram now that it’s available for Android phones. If you’d like to follow me my username is “tedikuma”.
This is a logo I designed for Tomorrow Archaic, who’s website launched today with the release of Emay’s new album “Adam”. At the bottom of this post I included some other ideas we went through before coming to something we all agreed on.
The podcast I made for Potholes In My Blog is up! It’s basically an overall view of where my head is musically at the moment. You can check out the post here or listen below. Tracklist Dego – Interlude (Featuring Taylor McFerrin) Shigeto – Field Trip FaltyDL – My Light, My Love Machinedrum – Youniverse Grimm Reality – Orchard-wards Dorian…
Here are just a few photos I took while on first trip to New York since high school. I did not take nearly as many shots as I normally do, most likely because of the many bags I was carrying and my Nikon D100 malfunctioning a lot. There are a few more pictures on my Flickr.
Here is my third redesign for Potholes In My Blog. This time I tried to make the site lightweight, fast and easy to navigate. Also used a lot of new techniques I’ve learned over the past year or so. I’m pretty happy with it. I included the two older designs for comparison.
An illustration done for The Brick Factory, my place of employment.
